The Strawberry Dress

Spot the squirrel!
Dress - Handmade by me, Top - ASOS Curve, Bag - ASOS, Necklace - Primark (old), Shoes - Topshop
Hello!
If you follow me on Instagram you'll see that last week I made myself this strawberry dress! When I saw this fabric in my local fabric shop I had to buy it because its so cute! I decided to make it into a oversized smock pinafore dress with a gathered skirt that buttons up at the straps, and has hidden pockets at the side too! I'm pretty pleased with it, and it's super comfy. I'm hoping to make more for myself in other prints too. I wore it out on a boiling hot day where me and my Mum went for a walk in our local woods - I used to go here all the time when I was little. I don't know why I don't visit more often, maybe because of the mud? White shoes probably wasn't practical, but it's all in the name of fashion, of course. I also wanted to let you know that despite doing this blog post I'm still feeling a bit weird about blogging. (which I mentioned in a blog post last week, and also on Twitter too) There's multiple reasons why I'm feeling like this, and I'm not planning on having a break, but if it happens - then it happens. And I apologise in advice if it does happen, but please know that I really do love my blog, it means a lot to me, and I wouldn't do it unless I really had to. But like I said, I'm not planning it, I'm just going to take each day as it comes and see what happens. Or maybe just expect less posts, I'm not sure. Anyway until then,

  5. That dress is adorable! I love it!

On the blogging front... I feel weird about it too most of the time. I'm finding that not pushing myself and blogging more when I "feel" it , or have something I really want to share is making it easier. Go at your own pace. Love the pics as well. Cute little squirrel!

    1. Thank you. And yes I agree - it does make it easier to blog when I feel particularly passionate about something, hence todays post! Although I wasn't completely satisfied with the photos, but thats my mood at the moment. Thanks for being understanding! xx
