'The Shock of the Fall' by Nathan Filer, 'The Rosie Project' by Graeme Simsion,
'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell, and 'The Thirteenth Tale' by Diane Setterfield
I've never done a favourite's blog post before but I just felt like doing one this month! I'm in love with these bra sets that the lovely team over at Bra's & Honey sent me. After the Debenhams Bra Fit Event and the new confidence it's given me, I've been much more happier about bra shopping and trying new things. I decided to give another Curvy Kate set ago seeing how much I love the ones I already have. I went for the Princess set in white, and I am more than pleased with it! I also really wanted to give Elomi a go as I've heard such good things plus their lingerie is so pretty. After a hard choice, I finally decided on the Betty set in blush, which is even more prettier and pink in real life. It also fits really well, and will definitely be trying more Elomi bra's in the future! If you haven't heard of Bra's & Honey before, they're an online company who supply a lot of well known lingerie brands such as Freya, Panache, Wonderbra, and of course Curvy Kate and Elomi. Their customer service was lovely and couldn't be more helpful, and my delivery came a day later! They also sell a selection of swimswear and shapewear, so don't forget to check them out!
Next up is the Tanya Burr Lipglosses! I would be surprised if you haven't hear of Tanya Burr already, or seen a review of her lipglosses but for those of you who don't know she is - she is a YouTuber (one of my faves) and makeup artist who blogs about beauty and lifestyle stuff, and she has recently launched her own lipglosses and nail vanish range. The range is available in Superdrug, but also online at Feel Unique. The range has been out for a few months now and I've been dying to try it out ever since it launched. I finally managed to find some in store at Superdrug, as most of it is always sold out. I picked up 'Vampire Kiss' (red) and 'Chic' (nude/pink), and I am so impressed by how pigmented the colour is. I actually haven't owned a lipgloss since I was a young teenager as I'm more into lipbalm and occasionally lipstick, so it makes a welcome change to now have lipgloss in my bag. It's not very sticky, is quite long lasting for a lipgloss, and is very easy to wear as when it does start to fade it isn't patchy or leave a stain. I love them so much I have ordered some more off Feel Unique whilst they were on offer, which I was planning to show you in this post but it seems my parcel is either majorly delayed or lost in the post. Fingers crossed it will arrive!
And lastly is some books I've been reading over the last few weeks. If you follow me on Instagram you'll see that I LOVE to read, and since finishing the Song of Ice & Fire series last month which took me a while to read, I wanted some fast easy books to read instead. I've been excited for 'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell to come out for ages, as I am an obsessive fangirl myself (McFly), and thought I would be able to relate to the main character well. And it turns out I was right, especially as it was about a girl starting University who doesn't really fit in with the rest of the partying students - which was basically me at Uni! It's an easy read which took me about two days to read, and I thoroughly recommend it. 'The Rosie Project' by Graeme Simsion is a modern romance with a twist, which again is a funny, light read which I thoroughly enjoyed; it's about a man, who clearly has Aspergers, and is in search for a wife as he nears his 40th birthday. The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer is a bit deeper and deals with family death, but also focuses on mental illness; it didn't make me cry but there were definitely some parts that made me feel overwhelming sad, but also some funny bits too. It won't be for everyone, but I liked it! And finally is 'The Thirteenth Tale' by Diane Setterfield, which I've wanted to read since I saw the BBC production a few months back. The cover makes it seem slightly haunting and in some aspects it's considered a 'ghost story', but it's more about twists and turns, and is about a pair of very odd twins. Again, it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I loved it. If you're a book geek like me then please add me Goodreads so I can see what books you like too! Or just recommend me some books in the comments below, as I always enjoy having a long list!
Sorry this post ended up being a lot more long-winded than I planned, but I hope you enjoyed it!
