When I first saw this gingham skirt on ASOS Curve I think my heart must've stopped as it is so perfect, and so me! Needless to say I ordered it straight away, but was so upset when it arrived in the post to discover it didn't fit. I've never really had that much problems with ASOS' sizing before, as I know a few people say it's inconsistent. I had ordered my usual size, so was confused why it wasn't fitting. I measured it against all my other ASOS Curve high-waisted skirts (and there are many), only to discover that the gingham skirt was a whole 8cm smaller at the waist. What the hell?! Something seriously went wrong there! Using my maths I realised I'd have to go up a whole two sizes, so reordered it, and now it's a smidge too big but I know the size smaller would be too small. What's annoying is that this skirt is available up to a size UK28, but unfortunately I don't think anyone that size will be able to wear it.(unless it's just me that's had this problem) I think I'll end up taking it in a bit, and I'm tempted to hem it an inch too, because the bigger a skirt gets the longer it gets too and I preferred the length on the original size skirt I ordered. Sorry to get all seamstress-y on you! Apart from that, I do LOVE the skirt. And this is also one of my favourite bags ever, which you might've seen me with in previous posts as I got it a while back. I spent ages wondering about getting it, because I have way too many bags to justify another one, but then it went down in the sale to £11 - so who can resist that? Definitely not a crazy handbag lady like me!
