Swings & Roundabouts

Dress - AXParis @ Simply Be, Cardigan - Primark, Bag - Zatchels,
Belt - Dorothy Perkins, Shoes - Clarks, Tights - Marks & Spencer

The other day me and Sally, who lives very close to me, met up for a fun day out.
We ended up hanging out at the park and going for a burger (which ended up being free) - a very successful day if I do say so myself. It's really lovely having a fellow blogger live so close by, particularly Sally as we get on so well and have similar idea's about blogging. We found this roundabout which we thought matched my dress perfectly. I haven't been on a roundabout since I was very young so I was a bit rubbish at spinning it. I bought this dress recently from Simply Be, it's an AXParis dress and when I saw it I couldn't believe how perfect it was. It's great seeing clothes that are more my style slowly coming into mainstream plus size fashion, and this is the closest thing I've ever seen which is why I snapped it up straight away. Hopefully will see more clothes like this coming in soon - please!

Here's some bonus night time/blurry/scary/artsy pictures. It got dark really quick.

Check out Sally's blog here.

  1. Those last few pictures definitely capture the sick stomach feeling I used to get when I'd spin on those things! Haha

I really love you in red. Growing up, I was always told I couldn't wear red because I was a redhead and it would clash, but it looks so lovely on you. I also like that you're wearing a textured cardigan with a busy print. I usually go with a basic knit cardi over a print, but I really like the texture that the sweater adds!

    1. Haha, I did feel a little dizzy on the roundabout!
Aw thank you very much - I think redheads can definitely get away with wearing red, I do it all the time. I find that pinks, particularly vivid pinks are a lot harder to pull off than red.
I do like a good knitted cardigan!

      Thanks for reading :) x

  2. I ordered that dress last week and am waiting impatiently for it to arrive. It looks so good on you. I loved it the second I saw it on the site but was worried the reality would not match the site pictures. I'm very glad to be wrong!

    1. Thank you! I had to order is straight away too, and was really pleased I did. Hope you like yours when it arrives! x
