Mellow Yellow (Fashion World Review)

Hello!
I was recently asked to take part in a 'style inspiration challenge' for Fashion World.
I was asked to choose a dress and a pair of shoes which I can then style in my own way.
I decided to choose this lovely yellow dress by Cutie.
Yellow isn't my usual colour and I wasn't sure if it would suit me,
but I remember seeing Lauren wearing it in the Summer and how amazing she looked.
I also recently blogged wearing a black version by Cutie which I loved,
so I thought it would be a good idea to try a brighter version.
Plus I can't say no to cute dresses with collars!
It's a great fit (I sized up) and the yellow colour isn't as daunting as I originally thought.
I also picked these buckled boots. I've wanted boots like these for ages!
I don't usually go for anything with a heel, but these are super comfy and actually easy to walk in.
I think they'll be a staple in my wardrobe this Winter.
I'm really pleased with how this outfit turned out, especially as both items
are a little out of my comfort zone, but still very me.

  3. Such a sweet outfit. I'm always afraid to wear yellow, as I also have red hair, but the shade you're wearing is a little more mellow and looks great! I like how you have the dots in both prints and the contrast of the black and yellow. And, as usual, you've got a gorgeous backdrop for your outfit photos!

    1. I'm always a bit weary of yellow against my pale skin, but this is a such a lovely shade. I'm glad you like my backdrop, I always try to keep it interesting. Thank you :) xx
