ASOS Swap Shop

Hello!
As you can see from the post title I had another little visit to the ASOS HQ! As an ASOS insider, we were invited to a Swap Shop which was last weekend. The rules of the Swap Shop were to bring up to three pieces that were in a good condition but you no longer wanted, and in return you could swap the same amount for what else is on the rails.

Before the day kicked off we had a bit of browsing time to check out what was on the rails. As well as second hand pieces ASOS were kind enough to put in brand new items from their own stock. Not only that, as there was only a small bunch of us plus size ladies, they even had a Curve rail especially for us stocked up with ASOS goodies! The only disappointment was there wasn't a massive range of sizes, mainly size UK20.
On each item of clothing there was a piece of paper saying who is was from (either an Insider, or ASOS themself), and a styling tip.

Inbetween browsing we had a few talks from ASOS Marketplace boutique owners, including Mod Dolly and House of Jam. I must say that I found their talks really inspiring especially with wanting to start up my own business anyway. It made me realise that maybe it's not as hard as I originally thought, and it has encouraged me to set my plans in motion.
We also had another great buffet! I of course tucked in. It makes me hungry just remembering how good it was.

After the food it was time for the Swap Shop to start! We were all really tense as we had our hearts set on a few things. There was a quick count down, and then we were off! I grabbed for my life and managed to get all the pieces I wanted, including the skeleton dress that I've wanted for ages!
Us plus size girls all happy with our pieces! (me pulling a very weird face)
Left to right: Lucy, Lizi, Charlie, Me, and Hanna.

And this is what I was wearing on the day.

This lovely blouse I found in the M&S sale back in October for £6! And the jersey skater skirt I found in store for £4 in the New Look after-Christmas sales. Such bargains!

Cardigan - Primark
Top - Marks & Spencer
Skirt - New Look (inspire)
Bag - Zatchels
Brogues - Clarks
Tights - Marks & Spencers

Overall it was another great day at the ASOS HQ thanks to the Access All ASOS team. I met some lovely people and went home with some great new clothes - all for free!

If you're interested in being an ASOS insider yourself, applications are still open but only until the end of January, so apply now here!
