Twas the Night Before Christmas..

When all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
I will apologise again for the lack of regular posts but I have been busy interning the last few months.
Today isn't an outfit post as such, but a view into my Christmas Eve, which happens to be one of my favourite days of the year. I kind of prefer it to actual Christmas day in fact.
This is what I got up to:
Wearing:
Pink Cardigan - Dorothy Perkins, Top - Simply Be
Hair bow - ASOS, Velvet Skirt (not shown) - ASOS Curve
I have done so much baking the last few days but we seem to get through so much food. Today I made mince pies, yum yum!
Mum prepared the table for tomorrow's Christmas dinner.
Here's our lovely Christmas tree. I really love lots of kitsch, cutesy over the top decorations, so we usually bombard the tree with wooden toys and candy canes. I also got really hands on this year and made Christmas bunting for the living room, stockings for the fire, a 'merry christmas' felt banner, and a pom pom wreath - all from scratch! It kept me very busy in the month of November.
I finished wrapping my presents, and as tradition I have left out my teddy bear stocking (which I've had since I was very little) for Santa Clause.
Burning the lovely 'Christmas Eve' yankee candle.
View of the living room.
Fire place.
And of course I've left out a drink and snacks for Santa. No carrots this year as I was watching a documentary yesterday and reindeers don't even like carrots? Apparently they only eat moss. I have no moss so biscuits and oranges for Santa instead it is. I also made these biscuits today in my busy baking day - they're meant to be melted Snowmen if you can't tell haha!
And then as Christmas Eve tradition goes, I watch my favourite Christmas film EVER - The Santa Clause - with my family.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I hope you have a lovely day wherever you may be, and whatever you may be doing.

  1. I'm so jealous. Your christmas decorations are gorgeous and it seems like such a perfect evening. Personally my favourite Christmas film is A Christmas Carol or Elf

Those are great films too, I always make sure I've watched them during the Christmas period.
      Merry Christmas!
