A Traditional Easter Weekend

Happy Easter!
Usually at this time of year, or during any other holiday time, I go home for a few weeks. But this time, due to the amount of work and because it's my last year at uni, I decided to stay behind. Instead, my parents have come down to visit me for the weekend.
Today we went to Winchester and we visited the Cathedral as we had never been inside before.
I was surprised by how busy it was - but that's because I keep forgetting it's Easter weekend!
I love visiting Winchester as it's so vastly different from Southampton, it almost feels like you've travelled several miles, or are on holiday. It's full of culture, and history (it used to be the capital of England), and I think most of it looks like Godric Hollow from Harry Potter.
It was so cold that it did begin to snow at one point, which is weird seeing as last Easter was actually quite warm and I can remember not wearing a coat.
Inside the Cathedral it seemed to look bigger than the outside to me!
They also had the Easter story displayed inside - a nice reminder of what Easter is actually about, not just chocolate and bunny's!
I'm pretty much wearing all ASOS (got to love that place), except:
Shoes - Topshop
Belt - Dorothy Perkins
Tights - M&S

After the Cathedral, we stopped for a traditional hot cross bun, followed by a little shopping trip in which I found some fabric for my final collection!
As you probably guessed by how often I've said it - I'm still snowed under by work, but due to Easter bank holiday, I have managed to escape the uni sewing room for 5 whole days, yay!

I hope you all enjoy your Easter weekends too!
