Happy new year everyone! I hope 2012 was a good year for you, and that 2013 is even better. I'm being boring and staying in for news years, so I have no outfit to show.
However, I thought I'd show you a few pictures / outfits from this year that didn't make it to my blog:
2012 has been an up and down year for me. It begun half way through my second year of university and I immediately was hit with depression which took a toll on both my grades and my social life. I made it through it - then my grandma died. This was the second grandparent I had lost in the space of 9 months. I believe every thing happens for a reason, and I feel we are stronger as a family, as well as individually. Summer came and I immediately began looking for a Summer job - despite having several interviews I was unsuccessful and made the decision to stop looking. This was the best decision I ever made as it meant I could take time out for myself after having such a stressful twelve months. Summer was so much fun with day trips, mini holidays and going to see the Paralympics in my own city. In October, I started my third year feeling refreshed and ready to work hard, as daunting as it was. Later that month I enjoyed my 22nd birthday, and welcomed my improving university grades. Now as I sit here at the end of 2012, I have a positive out look for the coming year.
I predict that 2013 will be an exciting year with my dissertation due at the end of January, then the build up to my final collection which will walk the catwalk in May. This will be the end of my time at university, which will be both sad and exciting. In June I have my three month internship, which I'm looking forward to, then after that it is the beginning of my 'career'. My future is unknown at this point but whatever happens I look forward to an adventure in plus size fashion. In the back of my mind I have plans for travelling, but I can only take every day as it comes. My future is not yet decided.
- For this blog to evolve into something I can be really proud of
- To work hard and graduate uni with a 2.1
- To find my 'path'/start my first proper career (and be happy)
- To travel to a new country
- STOP BITING MY NAILS, AHH! (i've tried this for the last 10 years)
- Spend less, sew more
- Read more books (hence me joining good reads yesterday)
